You can normally reuse the plastic fittings on your current
post-filter. |

However, if you need new plastic fittings, please let us know. |

For the first 12 years, your only additional major costs should be:
3 sediment filters at $3 each: $9
3 carbon filters at $15 each: $45
1 membrane: $55
1 post-filter: $8
1 capillary restrictor tube: $3
1 tank: $60
Total: $177
If you take the initial purchase price of $175 and add the $177 figure, that totals $352.
If you divide that by 12 years, our system will cost you an average of $29.33 per year or $2.44 per month.
* Substitutions:
50 gpd
Membrane: $65;
75 gpd Membrane: $75 (if your system does
not currently use a 75 gpd membrane, we recommend that you order a special
capillary restrictor tube which costs an additional $3)
100 gpd Membrane:
$85 (if your system does not currently use a 75 gpd membrane, we recommend that
you order a special capillary restrictor tube which costs an additional $3)
UPS charges or Postage is extra, but we don't charge a handling fee.
For prices on other filters, please e-mail us with the filter information that you are interested in.
To place an order, just e-mail us. Include your name, street address, and phone number. We will ship the
filters to you along with a bill. You should receive them within two to
three business days, depending upon your location.
REPLACEMENT FILTERS AND MEMBRANE
You don't have to go
back to the manufacturer of your system in order to purchase replacement filters
and membranes. We offer top-notch replacement parts.
On most reverse osmosis systems and water filter units, the parts are
interchangeable. Most systems have three, four, or five stages:
A three stage system normally starts
with a sediment filter, then a carbon filter, and the R.O. membrane. (However, some systems just use a sediment
filter, a CTA membrane, and a post-filter.)
A four stage system normally starts with
a sediment filter, then a carbon
filter, the R.O. membrane, and a post-filter.
A five stage system normally starts with
a sediment filter, then two carbon
filters, the R.O. membrane, and a post-filter.
The standard sizes for the sediment and carbon pre-filters are 2.5" in diameter and
9.75" long. They have a cylindrical hole in the middle running from one
end to the other:
On most systems, the post-filter comes encapsulated in its own housing and looks like this:
so it is not necessary to exactly match your current filter. We can send you a good substitute. However, if your post-filter is the
same size as your carbon pre-filter, let us know and we can give you a substitute.
With regard to membranes,
- if you are not on chlorinated water,
you can use a TFC membrane;
- if you are
on chlorinated water, you must have a good carbon pre-filter (which removes
chlorine) in order to use a TFC membrane. Otherwise, you must use a
(or add a carbon pre-filter).
The standard size for a TFC membrane is 1.75" in diameter and 11.75"
long. Here are a photo and a diagram of the FilmTec TFC membrane:
When ordering replacement filters, it is helpful to us if you let us know how many
stages your system has.
